Clarence Wilburn, Jr., aka Petey, was born April 15, 1957 in Hammond, IN to his parents Clarence and Ella Wilburn. He was the third child to this union. Affectionately known as “Petey” and to some “Brother Pete”, he received Christ at an early age and attended Deliverance Temple COGIC in Gary, IN under the leadership of Elder Bobby Warren. He attended Hammond public schools and graduated from Hammond Technical Vocational High School with the class of 1975. Later, Clarence joined the army and received an Honorable Discharge from the army in 1977. Clarence worked at Pullman Standard, the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, Roman Chinese Theater in California and was a manager at Washington Inventory.
Clarence was a very loving person and vary talkative and love loved watching and playing baseball and basketball.
Clarence is preceded in death by his mother Ella Wilburn and nephew Quincy Terrill Claiborne.
He leaves to cherish his memories his father Clarence Wilburn, Sr. of Hammond, IN; siblings Shelley Wilburn of Hammond, IN, David Wilburn of Washington D.C., Paulette (George) Stevenson, Paul (Debra) Wilburn and Shannon (Andrea) Wilburn both of Indianapolis, IN; 6 nephews, 3 nieces, 2 great nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins, other family and friends.
