Jeffery Alan Lowe

On Thursday, September 20, 1973, a nice warm summer day, Jeffrey Alan Lowe entered into the world as the second and last born child of Alberta Lowe and William Henderson in the small community of the “Harbor” in East Chicago, Indiana. Affectionately known as Jeff, he believed in the Lord as his personal savior and knew that Christ was the only way to salvation.  He received his education in the East Chicago Public School system and later graduated from Central High School.

 Jeff absolutely adored his family and valued the family bond of four generations.  Throughout his child and adulthood he spent valuable time with his grandparents Tommie and Rachel Lowe whom he lovingly referred to as Big Dad and Granny. He loved and cherished his mother their relationship was unique and blissful. He was a loyal and exceptional brother to his big brother Eric. Jeff had unyielding love for his three aunts Roberta, Minnie and Betty and he was blessed with three special cousins that were more like his big brothers and his sister Anthony, Randall, and Sylinda.  Out of all of his many blessings he was a proud, affectionate and protective father to Jazarie, Andrew and Tynia. Jeff was their personal hero and he showed them through his unwavering love, affection, and attention. He was known for having a very gentle and loving personality with a heart of gold. He would do anything he could in order to help others. Jeff would brighten up any event with his silly jokes and his loving smile. Football and basketball season was his favorite times of year. He enjoyed watching the games with his family and friends. Jeffrey Alan Lowe’s life was a testimony to all who knew and loved him even though he only lived to be 45 years old; he was still blessed to be able to touch so many lives. He will forever be remembered for his loyalty, faithfulness, loving kindness and most of all his love for God and family. Jeffrey departed this life on September 1, 2019. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Tommie and Rachel Lowe. He leaves behind his loving and devoted mother  Alberta Lowe; brother  Eric Lowe; three children Jazarie, Andrew and Tynia; aunts Roberta Lowe, Minnie Phillips and Betty (Robert) Burts; special cousins, Anthony (Michelle) Lowe,  Randall (Monique) Washington and Sylinda Phillips; great aunt, Gertha Tarver; great uncle, Richard (Joyce) Darnell and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
