Jesse Cannon was born February 2, 1946 to his parents Eugene and Corean Cannon in Greene County, AL. Jesse was the youngest of 9 siblings. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age. Jesse received his high school diploma at Riverside High School and later worked at Arcelor Mittal Steel as a mechanic in the 80” hot strip mill for 43 years. He was active in the local 1010 as a griever and he also enjoyed playing golf. He was also a proud member of the ABC Sportsmen Club where he participated in fishing and deer hunting. Jesse was an active member of the New Revelation Baptist Church where he participated in the male choir. He was also a member of the Laymen’s Auxiliary. Jesse was married to Carolyn Cannon for 49 years.  Jesse passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Gary, IN. He was 73. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Corean Cannon; wife Carolyn Cannon; siblings Willie Cannon, Johnny Mack Cannon, Priscilla Cannon, Iola Collins, Lois Jean Taylor Kirkman, and Emma Ruth Hardy. Jesse leaves to cherish his memories his memory his brother Harry Cannon; sister Hester Cannon; brother-in-law Luculious (Belinda) Anderson; daughter Jesselyn (Jason) Grady; grandsons Jonathan and Joshua Grady; special friend Lynette Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
