Julia M Dodson

Julia M. Dodson was born May 7, 1943 in Salem, Alabama to the late A.C. and Elizabeth Miles, Sr. Julia confessed Christ at an early age and completed her early education in Alabama. Later, she relocated to East Chicago, IN were a union of unconditional love was formed with Wayne C. Dodson, Sr. and to this faithful marriage, 3 children were born.

Julia worked for several years at a local railroad company. She later found employment as a child care worker at the Nazareth Home, where she provided love and care for several children until her retirement.

Julia M. Dodson passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, IN. She was 75.

Julia is preceded in death by her loving parents, 5 sisters, and 2 brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memories a beloved and devoted husband, Wayne C. Dodson, Sr.; children Wayne C. (Priscilla) Dodson, Jr., Anita Lynn Plainer, and Talaya Maria Dodson; 12 gradchildren Wayne (Brenda) III, Demetrius, Precyous, Jalaya, Zharia, Kaylyn, Aniaya, JayLynn, JaWayne, Jayden, Janaya, and Jaques; 3 great grandchildren Kiyan, Dalilah and Peyton; brothers Roy (Sarah) Wright and A.C. (Mary) Miles, Jr both of Phoenix City, AZ; sisters Doris Woods of Phoenix City, AZ, Alleana Smith of Marion, AL, Ozella Allen and Dorothy Person both of Phoenix City, AZ; dear cousin Inell (Karsten)  Waxton and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
