Louis Williams, 82, of East Chicago, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, IN. He is loved and remembered by his wife, Pearly; 5 sons, Terrance Williams of East Chicago, Indiana, Louis (Nanetta) Williams of East Chicago, Indiana, Darnell Battle of East Chicago, Indiana, Kym (Vernell) Battle of Atlanta, Georgia and Brett Battle of East Chicago, Indiana; 1 daughter, Rev. Lynn Williams of East Chicago, Indiana; two sisters-in-love, Rochelle Hogan and Glenda Tucker both of East Chicago, Indiana; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; god-children, Rev. Eric & Tanya Strong of Katy, Texas and numerous relatives and friends. Homegoing service will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11AM at New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church 305 E. 68th Place Merrillville, Indiana. Visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. T. Brian Hill, Officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Elwood, IL. Divinity Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
