Louise Hulitt-Stanley was born August 16, 1926 to Emma Anderson and Henry Shelton Rozell in Edwards Mississippi. She accepted Christ at an early age in Edwards, Mississippi. Louise relocated to Hammond Indiana in 1953 where she met and married Jessie Hulitt they had 6 children and 1 step daughter. She later married Wilson Stanley, whom preceded her in death. She attended New Community Baptist Church, where she was an active member serving as a church mother.
Louise was a very special lady, who loved everyone especially her family. She was loved by all and to know her was to love her. She enjoyed going to the boat and hanging out with the fellas at McDonald.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Wilson Stanley; parents Henry Rozell and Emma Anderson; brothers Excell Harris, Sr of Chicago Heights, Illinois, John Rozell, Jerry Rozell and Larry Rozell of Edwards, Mississippi.
She leaves to cherish her memories 11 children Betty Thompson (Sidney) of Inglewood, California, Erma Lockett of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert Shelton of Las Vegas Nevada, Gloria Perry (Solomon) Las Vegas of Nevada, Anita Cook (John) of Hawthorne, California, Linda Hulitt of Hammond, Indiana, Annette Whitney of Merrillville, Indiana, Jessie Hulitt.of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sandra Hulitt of Federal Way, Washington, Laura Pickett (Howard) of Hammond, Indiana, and Tracy Shelton of Highland, Indiana; step-daughter Bertha Lane (Ronnie) of Griffith, Indiana; 23 grandchildren Antoine Phillips, Darryl Phillips, Cain Manley, Felicia.Doty, Robert Shelton III, Dirk Burks, Ako Butler, Cyrill London, Eric London, Sedaka London, Yusef Green, Ushaw Green , Apria Green, Tayonna Hulitt, Jamafia Green, Johnnie Carpure III, Dahiliah Stribling, Benjamin Hulitt, Nicholas Hulitt Sr., Takeila Mckinney, Tacohan Doty, LeTysha Doty & Terence Redmond; a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
