Oceola (Cookie) Walden was born to the union of the late Oceola and Harry Walden Sr. on September 9, 1956 I East Chicago, Indiana. She resided in Hammond, Indiana and was a 1974 graduate of Washington High School in East Chicago, Indiana where she excelled in artistry, singing and athletics.
Oceola is proceeded in death by her son Lawrence Harding, Jr.; parents Harry and Oceola Walden, Sr and brothers Larold and Michael Walden; grandparents Maggie and Mack Walden, several aunts and uncles and cousins.
She leaves to cherish her memory 3 devoted children Jade, Oceola and Taiwan; siblings Patricia Harvey, Wayne, Freddie, and Alan Walden, Harry Walden, Jr., John (Bup) Maclin, Margaret Crumpton and Diane Soto and a host of other relatives and friends.
