Rashad J Dent

Rashad J. Dent was born December 27, 1995 to his parents Lamont D. Dent and Tonya T. Lee at Cornell Hospital in Libertyville, Il. Rashad was the first child of this union. Rashad was known as “Shod” by his family and “Drop” by his friends. Rashad received Christ at a very young age under the leadership of Pastor L.C. Gilliam at New Second Baptist Church. Rashad received the Holy Ghost under Apostle J. Carter from Anointed with Fresh Oil. Rashad went to Washington Park High School in Racine, WI where he was pursuing his high school diploma. He went for a few years then was enrolled at the Mack Center in Racine, WI where his principal, Mr. Elliot Underhill, where he told Rashad about a program that would help him receive his high school diploma called the Challenge Academy. Rashad received his diploma from the Challenge Academy in Fort McCoy. WI. Rashad received many certificates and medals through the program.

Later, Rashad worked at Kerry Seasoning in Stervant, WI, Amazon in Kenshoa, WI, and Insinkerator in Racine, WI. Rashad had plans to join the U.S. Navy and be a Navy Seal, but it was time for him to go home. He was very bright, and he loved to cook and work on cars. Rashad could fix anything he put his hands on and he was hard a worker, dedicated, and very smart. Rashad believed that God was in control of everything and God always took care of him. Rashad was the one to crack jokes and he would have you laughing at yourself. Rashad loved hard and if he told you he had your back he did. He loved his family and he loved his friends and he was a very good father to his son. Rashad was a passionate man and he stood on what he believed, he was a man of his word. He had a smile that would light a room up (with or without the grill) He was a good son, an awesome brother, and a good friend. He would motivate you to follow your dreams and stay on you until you reach them. He was an encourager, a fighter, and a friend and he will deeply be missed by his family and friends.
 

Rashad is preceded in death by grandparents James W. Lee, Thomas C. Gibson, and Daisy E. Smith; sisters Sequoia S. Lee and Cynthia D. Dent.

 Rashad leave to cherish his memories his son Rashad Dent, Jr.; parents Lamont Dent and Tonya Lee; grandmother Cynthia Dent; aunts and uncles Broderick (Jannela) Smith, Autra (Patrick) Gray, and Iwan (Mariam) Smith; siblings Isaiah (Uryah) Lee, Laron (Katherine) Smith, Jaleel Dent, Naome (Perry) Brooks, Brandon Ray, Mark (Shavon) Copeland, R’monie Dent, Michael Jackson, Lamont Dent, Jr., Angela Dent, Tamara Dent, Kelvin Wash, Nancy ent, Rashad Wash, Destiny Dent, Erica Wash, Asia Mariah Dent, Keven Wash, J’mirh Dent, Desiree Dent and La’Ida Dent and a host of other family and friends.
