Roy Kersh

Roy Michael Kersh was born June 7, 1957 in East Chicago, Indiana to his parents Morris and Annie Kersh. He was the 6th child to this union. Affectionately known as “BIG MIKE”, he attended the East Chicago Public School system and graduated from East Chicago Washington in 1976. Later, he retired from Inland Steel after 37 years of service. Roy passed away Friday, February 23, 2018 at the age of 60.

He is preceded in death by his parents Morris and Annie Kersh and his brother Esol Ed Kersh. He leaves to cherish his three sisters Mary J. (Homer) Smith, Shirley Kersh and Irene Edwards; brothers Morris Kersh, Jr. of Indianapolis, IN and Richard H. (Rose) Kersh of Olympia, WA; five nephews and four nieces; special friend Dolores Walker; stepson Devon Kirkendall and a host of other family and friends.
