Tony Malone was born October 8, 1962 to his parents Josephine (Eric) Briggs and Curtis Phillip. Tony accepted Christ at an early age. He attended McKay Grammer School and Harper High school where he graduated. He later worked at LSA Company and County Market in East Chicago, IN where he was a life-long resident. Tony was a very quiet person. He was the one that has all the snacks for the kids and he loved caring for Bella and Halo. He also loved cutting grass and frying chicken.
He is preceded in death by his step father Erick H. Briggs; brother Andrew; nephews Earl (Bay-Bay) Freeman Jr. and Joseph (Doon-Doon) Wallace, Jr. and good friend Mike (Big Mike) Kersh.
Tony leaves to cherish his loving mother Josephine Briggs of East Chicago, IN; father Curtis Phillip of Tennessee; sister Delois Walker and brother Earl (LaShaunda) Freeman Sr. of Hammond, IN; special great nephew DeShawn (Chum-Chum) Heard; special close friend James Outlaw and a host of other family and friends.
