Alice Jewel Lockett was born July 4, 1951, to Joseph and Ola Mae Lockett. She graduated from Hammond High School on June 19, 1968. Alice worked 20 years for AT&T and retired from the company as the Senior Management for the Regional NWI Department.
Although Alice had no birth children of her own; her loving and nurturing charisma led her to be an Honorary Mother to eleven other children within her family. March 14, 1980, Alice accepted Christ into her life and became a fervent prayer warrior and intercessor. Her dedication to God’s calling led her to serve as Pastor of the Restoration Prayer Center in 2001 after the founder and her mother, Pastor Ola Mae Lockett, made her transition from Earth to Glory in 2001.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Ola Mae Lockett; brothers Joseph Lockett, Jr. and Leslie Andre Lockett.
She leaves to cherish her memories her eight siblings, other family members and close friends.
Alice lived the final years of her life continuing in the Joy of the Lord, enjoying memories of family and just being herself. We are truly grateful for our family caregiver, Joceylyn McKnight who gave care at home for our Alice. It is truly one of the most important gifts that one can offer.
Alice Jewel Lockett has many terms of endearment, but although from others. She is affectionately known as “Big Sis” by her “Baby Sister.”
Alice loved Amazon and she loved shopping and watching movies. She is loved and will be truly missed.
- Your baby sister, Joceylyn
