Charlene Sullivan was born January 8, 1957 to her mother Clifford Sullivan in Chicago, IL. She was the first child born to her mother. Affectionately known as Chucky, she received Christ at an early age under the leadership of A.P. Jackson at Liberty Baptist Church. Later, Charlene attended Tilden High School and Chicago State University. She was employed as a teacher’s assistant for the East Chicago Public School System. Charlene enjoyed playing games on her phone, watching movies, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends. Charlene will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her vibrant personality.
Charlene passed away August 30, 2021 at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, IN. She was 64.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Clifford Sullivan and son Chinanti Campbell. Charlene leaves to cherish her memories her sons Rodney L. (Julia) Sullivan and Connes B. Campbell; daughter Tameka L. English and Michelle Jackson; sister and twin Jean (Johnny Ray) McCray and Alverna (Duane) Barker; aunt Sylvia Smith; uncle Charlie Sullivan; nieces Kyomi E. (Michael) Hampton and Victoria A. (Tristin) Prince; nephews Clifford Ray (Nicole) Fletcher, Tyler M. Brown and George M. McCray; special friend Ian and a host of grandchildren, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
