Charles Jerome French, affectionately known as Chuck, was born August 31, 1959, in East Chicago, IN. to his parents Charles and Gertha French. He attended Carrie Gosch Elementary School and he was a 1978 graduate of East Chicago Roosevelt High School.
Chuck excelled in basketball and baseball. Chuck also enjoyed roller and ice skating and dancing. He attended Lewis Community College in Chicago, IL. and was later employed at Blaw-Knox in East Chicago, AAA Express in Hammond and Mason Corporation located in Schererville, IN. until his health failed.
Charles Jerome French made his transition on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 peacefully at home in East Chicago, IN.
He is preceded in death by his father Charles French; brother, Lyzander Randolph; three aunts and three uncles.
Chuck leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Gertha French of Hammond, IN.; wife Valerie French, Gary IN..; seven sons Charles French Jr., of Gary, IN., Jordon French of Gary, IN., Keyonne French of Atlanta, Georgia., Christopher Richardson of Nashville, Tennessee, Jevonte Glover of East Chicago, IN., Evonte Glover of Orange Park, Florida and stepson, Andre Johnson of East Chicago, IN..; one sister, Deborah (Jacob) Jones of Tampa, Florida; mother and father-n-law, Katherine and James Baines of Gary, IN.; brother-n-law, Jermaine (Denita) Baines of Hammond, IN.; sister-n-law, Kelley (Marvin) Perkins of East Chicago, IN.; sister-n-law Cheryl Smith, Griffith, IN.; one uncle Jule (Regina) Harris of East Chicago, IN.; five grandchildren; Charles French Ill, William Burton, Keyonne'nea French Williams, and Adonis French all of of Atlanta, Georgia and Keyonne French Jr. of South Carolina; six brothers; John (Peggy) Randolph of Glendale Heights, IL., Russell Randolph of Dolton IL., Lonnie (Linda) Randolph of East Chicago, IN., Zachary (Sandra) French of Clermont, Florida, Christopher French of East Chicago, IN., Corey French of Merrillville, IN.; devoted friend Darlene Campbell and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
