Charles R. Vasquez (Chico), 93, passed away on Thursday, August 15,2019 at home surrounded by family. Charles was born January 10, 1926 in Taylor, Texas. He was a US Navy Veteran and a retiree of Inland Steel who loved to spend time with family and friends. He was known for sharing stories, writing and reciting poems. Chico loved listening and dancing to Jazz music. Charles was a man with a very generous and giving heart and will be greatly missed.
Charles is proceeded in death by beloved wife Evalia "Violet" Vasquez of 64 years of marriage; parents Guadalupe R. and Maclovia Vasquez; sisters Carolina Almazan and Elena "Helen" Vega. He leaves to cherish his memories his children Fred (Nancy); Gloria Vasquez-Molina ; Christine Vasquez; Andrea (Atenogenes) Garcia Vasquez; grandchildren Chasidy (Juan Raygoza) Gomez; Crystal (Richard) Wheeler; Joseph (Joanna) Montemayor; Carlos, Esteban Molina; Mikaela (Jasmine Colon); Claudya, Miranda Guzman and Mia Garcia; five great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
