Christine Brown

Christine Brown departed this life on Friday, May 13, 2022, at the age of 71. Affectionately known as “Walk this way,” she was a native of Marianna, AR. She attended Marianna High School and as a young girl, she moved to Chicago and worked as a bartender at the McCormick Center and the Crystal Palace. As Christine got older, she moved and resided in East Chicago until her passing. Many people will remember her by her loving smile, huge personality, and her fashion tips.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents Charlie Mae Dukes and James Brown, Sr.; brothers Fred Sigears and Cleophus Brown; sisters Jerry and Katherine Brown; sister-in-law Katrine Sigers; cousins Loucille Brown and Mary Woffard. 

Christine leaves to cherish her memories her brothers, Leon, Bobby, Jamie and Robert; daughters Marie Brown and Rhoda Brown; granddaughters Nikita Anderson, Michaeala Smith and Christy Smith and Courvisera (Co-Co) Brown; 8 great grandsons and a host of other family and friends.
