Clarence Raymond Johnson

Clarence Raymond Johnson, age 83, of East Chicago, Ind., passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 30, 2025.

Clarence was preceded in death by his loving parents, Henrietta Johnson Williams and Nelous Johnson; and his brothers, Willie Johnson, Clifford Johnson, Julius Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, and Sydney Ray Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted partner of 35 years, Corine Tucker; honorary son, Rodney Tucker; his sisters, Billie J. Alton and Bonnie J. Adams, both of St. Louis, Mo.; his aunt, Katherine Cyrus of Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Clarence was a faithful and dedicated member of Saint Luke AME Church in East Chicago, where he served with steadfast commitment for many years. His devotion to his church family and community never went unnoticed, and his legacy of faith, service, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Clarence will be remembered for his warm spirit, enduring dedication, and the many lives he touched with kindness and strength. His infectious laugh and kind heart will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
