Clarence (Marmar) Lamar Lofton age 52, went home to be with the Lord on June 7, 2020, in High Springs, Florida. He was born October 8, 1967, in Hammond, Indiana to Christine Lofton and John Wibur. He was a faithful and active member of Mount Olive Church in High Springs, Florida. He was known for his generous spirit and his willingness to help others. Clarence enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was laughter and bodacious spirit will be missed. He is survived by his mother, Christine; his father, John; two sisters, Rosalind Pride and LaShawn Ross (special friend Dean); his daughter Ameriya Lofton; special friend, Cecelia Wright; three step-children, Tanasia, Kanira, and Christopher; a half-sister, Tasha Wiliams, half-brother, Shay Wilbur; two aunts, Dorothy Faye and Barbara (Lawrence) Cook; nieces, nephews, many close cousins, and friends. Family was everything to Clarence. One thing he enjoyed most was spending time with his children. Everyone that knew Clarence said that he never met a stranger and that he could strike up a conversation with anyone.
Clarence was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roosevelt and Betty Lofton; his brother-in-law, Reginald Pride; and his half-brother Sean Wilbur.
Although he will be missed by his family and friends, we can rest knowing that we will meet again one day. 2 Corinthians 5:1and 8: For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
