Claude Comer

Claude was born on January 9, 1954 to Alta Rosetta Warren & Jimmie Lee Comer in Hammond, Indiana. He was the second child of ten. Claude was affectionately known as Scooter.He received Christ at an early age and recently joined New Community in Hammond, Indiana.

Claudeattended Hammond Tech High Schooland completed supplementary education throughout his life. He worked in the steel industry for Inland Steel and Clark Oil Refinery. He was a Recess Teacher for Eggers Elementary School in Hammond, Indiana. He also assisted with Mississippi Liquors owned by his father-in-law, Leon Carroll.

He loved cooking, working on cars, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was an International Free Mason from Peter Rock Lodge of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

In 1979, He married Denise Carroll of Chicago and from their marriage he had one daughter, Nicole P. Comer. Claude remarried in 2009 to Twana Johnson and from their marriage he had one son, KenshauC. Comer. He loved his children and enjoyed cooking dinner for them.

On December 24, 2020, Claude Comer was called into eternity. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Lee Comer and Alta Rosetta Warren, and brother, James Buck Sr. He leaves to cherish in his memory, two children Nicole and Kenshau Comer. He also leaves six brothers and two sisters, Phillip Warren, Ruby Comer, Charles (Hope) Comer, Theresa Hawkins, Derrick Wilson Sr., Paul (Delilah) Buck Sr., Marvin Buck, Calvin Buck Sr. Claude also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
