Florida Kelly

Florida Kelly was born May 9, 1955 to her parents Mandy Kelly and Sylvester Winters in Canton, MS. She was the fourth of five children. Affectionately known as Flo, she received Christ at an early age while attending New Mission of Jesus Christ under the leadership of the late Rev. Kary Denson. Later Florida attended Washington High School and went on to futher her education at Ivy Tech Community College where she received a degree in Auto Mechanics. She was also a long time employee at UDS Delivery Service. Flo was a very energetic, outgoing, loving and outspoken person. Flo loved making people laugh. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends. Flo enjoyed traveling and playing bingo and pool. Florida Kelly passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at South Shore Nursing Home in Gary, IN. She was 65. She is preceded in death by her parents Mandy Kelly and Sylvester Winters; sister Luretha Galloway; brother Ronald Kelly I; nephew Ronald Kelly II; niece Pamela Guy and uncles Howard and James Kelly. Florida leaves to cherish her memories her daughters Pershoun Kelly and LaMesa (Donyiell) Kelly; brothers Roosevelt (Johnnie Mae) Grant and LeAndrew (Teresa) Kelly; grandchildren Terres Reed; Mahaugany Currie; Sherray Currie; great-grandchildren Nevaeh Currie; Lauren White; Kaidyn King-Smith and DiQuan Sidney, Jr,; nephews Marvin Guy, Garrett, Fred, and Sidney Galloway; niece LaToya Galloway; special sister-in-law Latrice Lenox; special friend Sheila Smith and a host of other family and friends.
