Irene (Hudson) Doss

Irene (Hudson) Doss was born July 13, 1948 to her parents Frank and Irene Hudson in Chicago, IL. She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and she joined the First Church of Deliverance in Chicago, IL under the leadership of Rev. Cobbs. She attended Gary Public School and later graduated from Tolleston High School in Gary, IN. She later met and married the love of her life, Raymond Doss, Sr. They were married for over 52 years and two children were born to this union. Irene Doss departed this life on Saturday, April 11, 2020 due to illness. Irene is proceeded in death by her parents Frank and Irene Hudson; brother Frank Hudson; sister Francis Hudson; mother-in-law Etoyal Doss; father-in-law Earlie Doss; five brothers-in-law Charles Doss, Earvin Doss, Jimmie Doss, Roy Doss, and Camilius Thompson, Jr.; sisters-in-law Shelley Doss, Mary Francis Doss, and Earlene Doss; son-in-law Charlie C. Patterson. She leaves to cherish her loving memories her devoted and loving husband Raymond Doss, Sr.; one son Raymond (Melissa) Doss, Jr., of Minneapolis, MN; daughter Crystal Doss of Hammond, IN; two step-daughter Toni (Johnny) Jackson of Minneapolis, MN; Kimberly (Marvin Mobley) Patterson of Hammond, IN; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; special grandchildren Riley and Raymond Doss III and Eric McGee, Jr.; two sisters-in-law Clastine (Orlando Pratt) Thompson and Patti Jo Doss of Denver, CO; five brothers-in-law Robert (Margarite) Doss and Jake (Janice) Doss all of East Chicago, IN; special niece Janel Hudson of Arizona; Godchildren Muffin, Wallace, Daryl, and David Washington all of Gary, IN; loving cat Rambo; best friend Brenda Haire of California and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
