Karen Marie Stone was born February 13, 1956 in East Chicago, IN. She was a graduate of East Chicago Washington, Princeton University, B.P.S. and Woodrow Wilson College M.P.S. Karen was a lover of nature and food. She often planted her own vegetable garden saying she was going to win awards. She had an adventurous taste for food, but illness limited what she could eat as she got older. Karen loved music and sports, especially basketball. Anytime a game was on, you would here yelling about lack of defense. She was an avid reader and loved technology. Karen built her own computers and would tinker with them all the time. Karen Marie Stone, age 63, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 surrounded by family following a short illness at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Hobart, IN. She was preceded in death by her father Dan Davidson and grandparents Leatha and Sonny Stone. She leaves to cherish her memory, mother Lula (Roosevelt) Williams, Brother Mark (Katrina) Bailey, Sister Lynn Threatt, special cousins Ujuana Flanagan-Pickett and Ralph Stone, niece Kristen Hudson and nephew Marius Bailey. Step siblings Glensheler, Bettie and Roosevelt Jr. and a host of other family and friends.
