Kevin Joseph Bell was born December 11, 1959, in East Chicago, IN to James and Cora Bell. Kevin confessed Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. K.B. Long.
Kevin was a graduate of East Chicago Washington High school Class of “77” Kevin also served from 1984 to 2005 in the U.S. Army in Kuwait and Iraq, where he received several commendations. Later, Kevin was employed with the United States Postal Service, until he retired.
Kevin was united in matrimony to Casandra Kershaw in 2006 and their love stood the test of time.
Kevin loved to open devotion with “Glory, Glory Hallejuah” and “Pass Me Not O Gentle Savior” He also enjoyed spending time with his family and loved ones.
Kevin Bell passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at his home in East Chicago, IN. He was 63. He is preceded in death by his lovely parents James and Cora Bell. He leaves to cherish his memories his amazing wife Casandra K. Bell; sisters Brenda Lofton of Merrillville, IN and Beverly Bell of East Chicago, IN; brother Raymond (Brenda) Bell, Sr. of Merrillville, IN; sister-in-law Rene Kershaw of East Chicago, IN; brother-in-law Tyrone (Cynthia) Kerhshaw of Hammond, IN; three great nephews; two great nieces; nieces Rhonda and JoAnne Lofton and Shauna Bell; nephews Ray Bell, Jr., Ronald Lofton, and Jaime Bell; longtime friends Anthony Nickson and Wayne Walden and a host of other relatives and friends.
