Larry L. Stribling, Jr. was born December 8, 1974 to his parents Larry L. Stribling, Sr. and Mrs. Paulette Barrera in East Chicago, IN. He was the first of three children born to this union. Affectionately known as Bop, Larry received Christ at an early age and attended The Kingdom Hall of East Chicago, IN. He attended and graduated from East Chicago Central High School and later spent many years in the steel and production industry where he held various supervisory and management positions. Currently, he was employed with Marino Ware in East Chicago, IN as the production supervisor. Larry met and later married Katasha Stribling on October 9, 2009. They were together for 23 years and 2 children were born to this union. Larry had a love and passion for automobiles and he was an entrepreneur and a huge sports fan. His laughter and continuous advice, hard work, and love for his family will always be remembered by those who loved him.

Larry L. Stribling, Jr. passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, IN. He was 44. Larry is preceded in death by his step-father Jesse Barrera. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Katasha Stribling of Hammond, IN; children Aaliyah and Julius Stribling of Hammond, IN; parents Paulette Barrera of East Chicago, IN and Larry L. Stribling, Sr. of South Bend, IN; siblings Lawrence Stribling and Tywon Glover both of East Chicago, IN and Taleshalon (DaShun) Swanson of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren Aashiyah Reed of Hammond, IN; nephews Elijah and E’Shun Swanson of Indianapolis, IN; uncles Michael Rodgers of South Bend, IN, Jesse (Juanita) Stribling and Alfonso Stribling both of Memphis, TN; aunts Willie Easter Carter of Gary, IN and Ophia Kidd of Alabama; special cousins Mia Hall-Craft of Portage, IN, Shawna (J.D.) Hairston of Merrillville, IN and Jonathan Thomas of Gary, IN; godson, Isaiyah Wade of Gary, IN  and a host of other cousins, family members, loved ones, and friends.
