Leroy Wade, Jr.

Leroy Wade Jr. was born in Gary, Indiana to his parents Leroy Wade Sr. and Dorothy Wade on July 10, 1963. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and later was a graduate of Roosevelt High School. Leroy, known to his family as “Buggy”, was a hardworking man.  He worked at Westville Prison for several years and worked other jobs after that until he got his dream of being hired for National Steel Company. Leroy was a peaceful, strong and independent man and never met a stranger.  He was a caring and compassionate man and greeted everyone with open arms and a smile!  Leroy never complained about anything and loved his family unconditionally, especially his grandchildren. In 2015, Leroy met the love of his life, Nedra.  He confessed his love before Christ for her and they were married in Holy matrimony on October 13, 2018.

Leroy (Buggy) Wade, Jr. was called from this earthly world to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.  He is preceded in death by his dad, Leroy Wade Sr.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories his devoted wife Nedra Marie Wade; one loving daughter Sharelle Janine Wade of Groton, CT; loving mother Dorothy Rivera of Gary, IN; two sisters Linda A.Wade of Gary, IN and Robyn Wade of Springfield , IL; one brother Leroy (Cornelia) Ballard Columbus, MN; four sisters-in-law Tyra (Anthony) Peyton and Kayla (Damarius) Boyd of Indianapolis, IN, Brandie (Jason) Rucker of Evansville, IN, and Jessica Frith of Chicago, IL; one brother-in-law Justin Frith of Kapolei, HI; four uncles Nymrod (Marie) Adkins of Gary, IN, Willie James Adkins, Minneapolis, MN, Daniel Wade, AL, and Earl Wade of Gary, IN;  three aunts, Jeanette White, MN, Margaret Nunn of Gary, IN, and Virginia Wade of Gary, IN; two beautiful grandchildren Terrence Lamont Belcher Jr. and Gianna Geriann Belcher of Groton, CT and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
