Linzy Mayfield

Linzy Mayfield was born April 10, 1941 to Anne Steve Mayfield-Smith in Vaiden Ms. He received his education in the Vaiden Mississippi Schools. After graduating from High school, he joined his family in East Chicago, IN where he found employment in the Steel Mills working for Youngstown that later became Jones and Laughlin. He retired from there in 2000 with over 20 years of employment.

Linzy enjoyed music, fishing, nice cars, sharp clothes, playing Spades and Bid Whist, and toward the end Oreo Cookies.

Linzy Mayfield Sr. departed this earthly body on August 28, 2021. He is proceeded in death by his loving parents Cleotha and Ann Mayfield-Smith. His Brother Willie Mayfield. His Maternal Grandparents Johnnie and Susie Mayfield. Grandson Damonte Upshaw and Great Granddaughter Zariah Smith

He leaves to cherish his loving memory 6 daughters: Denise James of IN, LaTania Smith- Johnson of CO, Lureatha Mayfield of NV, Pershoun Kelly of IN, LaMesa Kelly of IN, LaToya Mayfield of GA.

7 Sons: Milton Smith of IN, Linzy Mayfield Jr. of IN, Harking Mayfield of IN, Ivan Spicer of TX, Demetrius Jackson of CA, Deon Mayfield of CA, and Keon Johnson of AL.

48 Grand Children, 28 Great Grandchildren. A host of other relatives and friends. Close friends Millie Glover, Sandra Mayfield Sanders, and Carolyn Hegwood.
