Mrs. Loretta Mosley-Simmons was born December 28, 1970 to her parents Johnnie Lee and Della Mosley in East Chicago, IN. She was the 5th child of this union. Affectionately known as “Lo-Lo”, she received Christ at an early age and later received her diploma from East Chicago Central High School in 1991. Loretta worked for the City of East Chicago for over 30 years and she received numerous honors and awards for her many accomplishments. In April of 2013, Loretta rededicated her life back to Christ at the Greater Destiny Bible Church under the leadership of Apostle Kelly B. Williams. In 2014, Loretta met the love of her life and later married Joseph Simmons on February 15, 2020. Together, they enjoyed hanging out in the “garage” with family and friends playing cards, shooting darts, and pool. Joseph’s most cherished memories of his loving wife was going to church and shopping for the food pantry.
On March 21, 2020 at the age of 49, Loretta gained her wings. She is preceded in death by her father Johnnie Lee Mosley; sister Marie Dennis; brothers Jessie Roy and Samuel Dennis, Jr.; great-nephew Chann Reed, Jr.; aunts Ester Hayes , Mary Reed, and Roselee Butler.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband Joseph Simmons; loving mother Della Mosley; loving children DaZeonte Mosley and Nasi Meux; sister Dorothy Dennis; brothers Johnnie (Debra) Mosley, Jr., Darren Mosley and Montell (Stacy) Mosley; nieces and nephews Kenya (Larry) Bey, Earlean Mosley, DesJore (Candice) Dennis, Bruce (Ravinia) Mosley, Bryant Mosley, Terrence Wallace, Ashley Dennis, Jerica Graham, Bianca Ortega Mosley, Isaiah Mosley, Montell Mosley, Jr., and Montana Mosley; 15 great nieces and nephews; great uncle Sydney Dent and a host of other loving family and friends.
