Lula Williams

Lula M. Williams (nee Stone) was born September 9, 1969 to her parents Sone and Leatha Stone in Round Pond, Arkansas. She was the 9th of 11 children.

Lula received Christ at an early age and was very active in her church’s community.

Later, Lula was united in holy matrimony with Roosevelt Williams. They were married for over 15 years and together for 50 years.

Lula was an avid reader and enjoyed watching basketball and football. She was a massive Chicago Bears and Chicago Bulls fan.

Lula will be truly missed!

Lula passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Methodist Southlake in Merrillville, IN. She was 83. She is preceded in death by her parents Sone and Leatha Stone; children Karen Stone and Mark Bailey and 10 brothers and sisters.

Lula leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Roosevelt Williams; daughter Lynn Threatt; grandchildren Kristen Hudson and Marius Bailey; special niece and nephew Ujuana Flanagan-Pickett and Ralph (Rhonda) Stone; stepchildren Glensheler (Charles) Mubarak, Bettie (Stephen) Daniels and Roosevelt , Jr. (Denise) Williams  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
