Magnolia Lewis was born June 13, 1942 in Scott, Mississippi the daughter of the late Anderson Lewis and Earline Black Lewis Harris.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Springfield Baptist Church in Scott, MS. She graduated from Coleman High School in Greenville, Mississippi in 1960. She later relocated to Gary, IN. She attended Clark Road M.B. Church for over 30yrs where she was a member of Usher Board #1 and for over 18yrs a member of the pastor choir. She was an employee of Calumet Township Trustee for over 30yrs until she retired.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers; Joe Lewis, Curtis Harris Sr., L.C. Lewis, Patrick Harris, James Harris, Fred Harris, Ricky Harris, David Harris, Richard Harris Sr., Henry Harris, Earl Harris Willie Harris Jr.; sisters; Annette Harris, Bertha Brown, Lillie Toney, Rosa Lee Harris Sims, and Rosie Lee Means.
Magnolia Lewis is survived by son: Darron Lewis of Phoenix, AZ, daughter; Lisa Lewis of Gary, IN; grandchildren Marquise Maxwell and An’Zhane Lewis. Sister’s; Earline Fowler, Phyllis Felder, brother; Johnny (Bettie) Harris, sisters-in-law; Patricia Harris, Becky Harris, Olivia Harris. bonus grandchild; Shawn Manna. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
