Pierre Clinkscales

Pierre Jerome Clinkscales was born December 5, 1985 in Chicago Illinois to his parents Mr. Jon Pierre Hammonds and Ms. Sylvia Clinkscales. Pierre was the first born to this union. Later, they relocated to East Chicago, IN in March of 1998.

Pierre was given many different nicknames through his life but was he was affectionately known as Pinky Panther by his grandmother and Stanka by his mother.

Pierre accepted Christ and was baptized at Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor J.C.Wade, Jr. with both his younger brothers, Richard and Jermaine.

Pierre graduated from East Chicago Central High School in 2005. He played corner back and wide receiver on the football team from his freshman to senior year. Pierre was nominated and won many awards in high school such as biggest flirt, most likely to make you laugh, most likely to be caught ditching and pretties smile. Pierre loved music and creating music and was head engineer of his recording lab class. He also worked on the sound and media ministry for the Zion Missionary Baptist Church for several years. He later relocated to Lafayette, IN where he received certification in Mechanical Engineering though Purdue University continued learning where he applied his skills working for Mazda. Pierre loved to cook, especially grilling, and he loved to laugh and make people laugh. He was kind, loving, smart and funny. He always had a glow on his face and had a smile to light up the city. Pierre found happiness and comfort in prayer and the word of God.

He departed this life on June 27, 2020 at the age of 34. Pierre is preceded in death by maternal grandfather Sylvester Garnell Clinkscales; paternal grandparents Harriett Ellis Hammonds and Richard Henry Hammonds. He leaves his legacy of life to be remembered by his spouse Alisha Cousins; parents Sylvia Clinkscales and Jon Pierre Hammonds; grandmother Florida Clinkscales; children Anthony Cousins Clinkscales, Samiyah Johnson, Amberniece Whitelaw, Jayden Valliant, Brooklyn Clinkscales, Brishonda Clinkscales, and Pierre Clinkscales; siblings Richard Hammonds and Jermaine Hammonds; God Daughter Taliyah Cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
