Quincy Graham Obituary/Virtual Registration

On Saturday, January 16, 1954 in the City of East Chicago, Indiana, Ransom & Velma Graham, Sr., welcomed Quincy William Graham “QW”, the 8th of 10 children, into their family.

Quincy accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in East Chicago. He attended Washington High School, class of 1972.  He played Little League baseball at a young age through middle school. During his High School years, he switched to basketball.  He loved sports especially the Chicago Bulls and Dallas Cowboys.

He was employed by Inland Steel and later Mittal Steel for over 35 years.  He loved helping people and working with his hands.

On June 30, 1979, Quincy married his high school sweetheart Lettie Junigan and to their union one daughter was born, Keisha.  He was elated when his 3 granddaughters, Janiah, Aliyah & Arielle arrived and lovingly called him “Papa”.

Graham; mother-in-law, Rosina Nicholson, father-in-law, Leroy “Nick” Nicholson

Quincy will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity in helping those who needed his assistance.  His infectious smile and laugh were enjoyed by all.  His presence will truly be missed by his loving daughter, Keisha Graham (JaVontae Azcona) of East Chicago, IN; his 3 precious granddaughters, Janiah, Aliyah & Arielle Azcona; brothers, Ransom (Marcetta) Graham, Jr. of Clovis, NM and Freddie Lee Larry (Patricia) Graham of Palmdale, CA; sister, Waverlene Graham of Lancaster, CA; brother-in-law, Min.
