Richard Allen was born August 9, 1947, in Yazoo, MS to his parents Clyde and Annie Allen. Later in 1985, Richard moved to Hammond, IN and completed his schooling and earned his G.E.D. and a CDL license. Richard worked for the Hammond Water Department until his retirement.
Richard enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, fishing, hunting, and fast cars. Richard was very down to Earth and relatable, and he loved making jokes and making other people laugh. He had a deep love of Christ and accepted him as his Savior in 2014.
Richard Allen gained his wings Friday, June 10, 2022, at his home in Hammond, IN. He was 75.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Annie Allen; son Richard Allen, Jr.; sisters Thelma, Ruthie, and Delores and his brother Leroy.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving daughter Belinda Allen; stepdaughters Cynthia and Gwen; grandchildren London, Allen, and Aaliyah Jones; great granddaughter Jalicia Brinage; sisters Gertie Lynx, Annie Allen, and Clara Davis; brother Johnny Allen; foster sister Deborah Hall; dearest friends Bruce and Douglas (coworkers at Hammond Water Dept.) and a host of other family and friends.
