Rosie Lee Griffin was born March 12, 1937 in Hurtsboro, AL to her parents Lewis and Lueranie Tolbert. Rosie was the ninth child of ten children. Rosie received Christ at an early age while living in AlabamaAffectionately known as “Sister,” she attended Russel County School system in Alabama. She later married Eulice (Bo) Griffin in Alabama and they moved to East Chicago, IN. Together, they had one child, Gloria Ann Griffin. In 1971, she united with the Prayer House of Faith under the leadership of Prophet E.N. Williams, where she enjoyed cooking dinners for her church family and friends at church gatherings. She also enjoyed cooking on the grill. Rosie was employed at Tri-City Mental Health in East Chicago, IN and she later retired in 2007.
Rosie Lee Griffin transitioned from her earthly body to her heavenly body on Tuesday, December 2, 2021 at Franciscan Hospital in Munster, IN.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Lueranie Tolbert; daughter Gloria Ann Griffin; husband Eulice Griffin; sisters Carrie L. Tolbert-Burts, Johnnie L. Tolbert-Long, Mary Ruth Tolbert-Pete; brothers Charlie Lewis, William Henry, Jack, Jimmie, Matthew and Ben David Tolbert.
Rosie leaves to cherish her memories her brother Steven Tolbert; nephews Robert and Johnnie Burts; niece Eleanor Davis and a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
