Roy Lee Washington Sr., age 85, of Hammond, IN, passed away Thursday December 5, 2024 at Community Hospital Munster, IN.

Survived by his children, Maurice (Tiffinnie) Washington Sr., Yolanda Washington, Marshall Washington, Tammy (Michael) Butler Sr.; daughter-in-law, Tyneshia Washington; sisters, Lavern Young, Helen Lacy, Joyce Williams, Cathy Pitts; brothers, Samuel (Glenda) Washington and Barry (Sharon) Washington; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Preceded in death by wife, Viola Washington; son, Roy Lee Washington Jr.; grandson, Michael Butler Jr.; sister, Betty Lou Washington; brothers, Willie Lee Washington and Frank Washington Sr.; in laws, James and Fannie Mae Marshall; sisters-in-law, Ann Washington and Ludell Wylie.

Homegoing Celebration, Saturday, December 21, 2024 11am; Visitation, 10am at Divinity Funeral Home, 3831 Main St. East Chicago, IN. Internment, Concordia Cemetery Hammond.
