Russell Randolph, III, affectionately known as “Bay,” was born March 11, 1948, in East Chicago, IN to his parents Gertha and Russell Randolph, Jr. He attended Garfield School and Carrie Gosch Elementary School in East Chicago, IN and later, East Chicago Roosevelt High School. Russell was a past employee of Youngstown and Blaw-Knox Company in East Chicago, IN. A music lover, Russell was musically inclined and enjoyed singing, playing the piano and guitar. Russell made his transition on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Countryside Nursing Home in Dolton, IL. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Julia and William Harris; paternal grandparents, Mary Ella and Russell Randolph, Sr.; father, Russell Randolph, Jr.; step-father Charles French; two brothers Lyzander Randolph and Charles Chuck French; seven aunts and five uncles.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Gertha French of Hammond, IN; four brothers, John (Peggy) Randolph of Glendale Heights, IL; Lonnie (Linda) Randolph of East Chicago, IN; Chris French of East Chicago, IN and Zachary (Sandra) French of Clermont, FL; sister Deborah (Jacob) Jones of Tampa, FL; aunt Fannie Daniels of Culver, IN; uncle Jule (Regina) Harris of East Chicago, IN; sister-in-law Cheryl Smith of Griffith, IN and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
