Stephen Blasingame

Stephen Blasingame was born August 3, 1952 to his parents Albert and Mildred Blasingame in East Chicago, IN. He was the second child born to this union. Affectionately known as “Punch” or “Villa”, Stephen accepted Christ at an early age and attended Faith Temple COGIC in East Chicago, IN. After graduating high school, Stephen enrolled in the U.S. Army and served as a Sergeant in the medical battalion for 8 years. He was an avid reader and was known for his thought-provoking conversations. Stephen was always a family man and enjoyed sharing his military stories. He was nothing short of a radiant light in the lives of all he encountered.

Stephen Blasingame passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert and Mildred Blasingame; sister Toni Blasingame and son Marc Dupree Blasingame.

Stephen leaves to cherish his memories his loving daughter Theresa Blasingame; son Donnie Blasingame; stepdaughter Tashema Rollins; siblings Althea (Anthony), Allen Tracey (James) Jones, Carol Blasingame, Kimberly Franklin, and Brian (Sheretta) Blasingame; 15 grandchildren; special friends Carla Dorsey and Aletha Avington and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
