Terrence K. Body, Sr., affectionately known as Terry, was born in East Chicago, Indiana on May 19, 1974 to Kaiser and Betty Body. He confessed his love for Christ at an early age and attended Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church with his family.
Terry was a graduate of East Chicago Central High School class of 1992. He then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Indiana University. He was also a member of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. Terry was employed at United Parcel Service.
Terry loved his family and friends. If you were fortunate enough to be in his circle there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for you. He was married to his high school sweetheart Tiki (Takisha) for 20 years. He was incredibly proud of his sons Tyler and TJ (Terrence Jr.). He was a wonderful husband, father, protector, and friend. His beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and amazing hugs are just some of the things that we will truly miss.
He loved riding his motorcycle and driving his truck. You could always hear him coming by either the sound of the motorcycle or bass bumping in the truck. He has always loved his music.
Terry departed this earthly life for eternal life on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents Kaiser and Betty Body, brothers Kaiser and Oscar Body and paternal and maternal grandparents. He leaves to cherish his loving memories: wife Takisha, sons Tyler and Terrence Jr., sister Ieesha (Avery) Lawrence, sisters in love Tanisha Hill and Tanya Mitchell, aunts Clara Campbell, Scarlet Jackson, Patricia Sims, Jennifer Sims, and Georgia Sims, uncles Samuel Jackson, Marshall (Elissa) Jackson, Ray (Vicky) Sims, Jeffrey Sims, and Rev.
