Theresa Jones

Theresa Jones was born in East Chicago, IN to Emma Lou Carrillo on July 11, 1953. She was the 5th of eight children. Theresa accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Herman Baptist church. Theresa was a proud 1971 graduate of East Chicago Washington High School- the undefeated Senators! Theresa dedicated her life to caring for her nieces/nephews, family and grandbabies. She found great joy in caring for her ‘babies’: Davion, Jo-Jo, Tiffany, Tone-Tone, Keyaareon, Kamiyah, Duney, Kamille and her grandbabies. Family gatherings were never complete unless TT Theresa and her dynamic dance skills were there! Her lively spirit, generosity and love for her family will be missed. She was preceded in death by: parents -Emma Lou Carrillo, Lee Bailey, grandmother- Mary Jackson, spouse- James Jones Sr., Brother- Andrew Brooks Sr, Sister in Law- Janet Walton, Niece- Sherritta Hampton, Nephew- Kevin Lewis and Favorite Niece- Kylah Elliott. She leaves to cherish her memory: her one and only child-TeCha (Craig) Lott, Her pride and joy; her grandbabies- Chelsea, Jasmine, Skylar, Siblings- Johnnie Mae (Robert) Lewis, Kenneth Ford, Karen Jackson, Charles Walton, Amelia Carrillo, Clarissa Carrillo and Sunceray James. ; step-daughter Kimberly Lovett; Mother in Love: Joan Hardrick, Brother in Love: Garrick Hardrick, Favorite nephew: LaSalle Jackson. Special nieces and nephews: Dee Dee, Linda, Melody, LaVita, LaVingia, Ashley, Sharliah, William Sr., Shawn, Squeak, Charles Jr., LaStar Sr. ; aunt Jenette Jackson and a host of other great nieces, nephews, family and friends. Theresa held a very special place in her heart for her family which are too many to name
