Toni London

When God calls one of his blessed angels home, the heavens and angels rejoice while we are left behind to weep with the rain. On July 5, 2023, a page turned and a chapter closed in the life of Toni London.

Toni was born April 16, 1953 in East Chicago IN to the late Cleo Smith Burks and Alphonso London.  Toni was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Sarah and Leotha Smith, Nathaniel and Antoinette London, brothers Alvin Mitchell, Micheal London, and Ronald London, Uncle Lennell Smith, 1st cousins Daphne Moss and Maurice France.

Toni worked at Kathy's on Euclid in East Chicago. She worked for many years at Davis Security. She also worked in home healthcare.  Toni studied at Calumet College of St. Joseph. She also attended cosmetology school at Don Roberts. 

Toni was an outspoken person and said whatever was on her mind. She loved her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Memories of Toni's life will remain in the hearts of those whom she loved and those who loved her. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons Bernard London and Darius London. Brothers Robert Burks, Arthur London, Jack (Deb) London, and Darryl (Trenell) London, One Sister Fonetta Askew, Sister-in-law Lytitia London. Aunts Helen London of Los Vegas NV, Melva Moss and Linda Robinson of Forest, MS. Helen Flynn of Beaverton, OR and Sharon Smith of Phoenix, AZ. She had sixteen grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. One special friend Amy Biera.  Life companion Kenny Washington and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
