Troy Anthony Newson

Troy Anthony Newson was born November 24, 1991 in Chicago, IL to his parents Willie Anthony Nash and Yolanda Newson. He was the second child of three from this union.

Affectionately known as Moonie Black a.k.a. Pie, Troy received Christ in 2007 at Greater Destiny Bible Church under the leadership of Apostle Kelly B. Williams. He attended and graduated Roosevelt High School in Gary, IN. Troy met Tanya Shneal Chandler at their church, Greater Destiny, in 2015. Together, they had three children.

Troy enjoyed going out, having fun and enjoying spending time with his family and friends.

Troy Newson passed away January 22, 2021 in Gary, IN. He was 29.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Yolanda Newson; grandfather Jesse Newson;  grandmother Virgie Nash and uncle Jamar Nash

Troy leaves to cherish in his memory children Ti'Yanah Marie Newson, Tatiannah Renae' Newson and Jamiere Durand Chandler; brothers Dominic Newson and Vontrell Newson, sister Shanetta Grimm; father Willie Anthony Nash; grandfather Willie Ed Nash; grandmother Thelma Newson; nieces Amiya Newson, Zaniyah Newson, Kennedi Jackson, Serenity Atkins and Dymond Prater; auntsVelma Kindred and April Nash, five uncles and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
