Wardell Q. Paul, Sr. was born August 9, 1962, in Gary, Indiana to the his parents Elder Joseph Paul and Maggie Paul. He was the third eldest child born to this union.
Affectionately known to all as “Big Wad", Wardell confessed his love for Christ at an early age, under the leadership of his father, Elder Joseph Paul.
He attended Lew Wallace High School, loved basketball and was a star athlete. While attending high school, Wardell met his devoted soulmate, friend and love of his life, Tina Gamble. They were married for over 39 years.
On September 21, 1984, they were happily married and to this union a devoted and loving son, Wardell Jr. was born. The family was also blessed with a daughter, Mechel’le (Misha).
Wardell served in the army May 29, 1985, were he received several achievements prior to his honorable discharge.
Wardell work at Dietrich Industries, Westville Correctional Facilities, as a independent and overall “Jack of all trades and a Master of some”.
Wardell departed this life on July 11, 2022 at the age of 59 years of age. He was preceded in death by his father, Elder Joseph Paul, Sr., mother in love, Mary L. Dudley; paternal and maternal grandparents.
Wardell leaves to cherish memory: His loving, devoted, dedicated wife, Tina L. Paul; loving son, Wardell Jr., loving daughter, Mechel’le (Misha), mother, Maggie Paul; brothers: Robert (Vanessa), Joseph Jr., Sherman (Marie), Scotty (Angela), Carlo, Kenneth; sisters: Penny (Daniel) Edwards, Sylena; dedicated friend/brother: Art Bush and a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.
