Yvonne Collins

Yvonne Guy-Collins was born to Charley and Charlestine Guy on January 20, 1951 in East Chicago, IN. She attended Riley Elem. School in East Chicago, IN and later attended Decatur High School in Decatur, MI. Yvonne moved to Detroit, MI where she lived until she moved to be with her niece, Scherlyna Jackson-Johnson in Jacksonville, FL.

Yvonne worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Florida for many years. She retired in 2016.

In June of 2018, Yvonne had to return to Indiana due to her health failing. Yvonne Guy-Collins departed this life Sunday, August 5, 2018 at St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, IN. She was 67. She is preceded in death by her parents Charley and Charlestine Guy; 2 sisters; one brother; grandparents; aunts and one uncle.

Yvonne leaves to cherish her memories her sister Yvette (Lawrence) Chafen of Hammond, IN; best friend Jackie Rahman of Phoenix, AZ; special cousin Loreatta Grant of Hammond, IN; Caregivers in FL, Lillian Ramirez-Harper and Felicity Clifford; special niece Scherlyna (Reginald) Johnson; caregivers and nieces Victoria, Raven (Travis) Williams, Delois and Shana McKnight, Achella McClain and Tiana McClain; nephews
Terry (Venus) Jackson, Carl McKnight, Lawrence Chafen and a host of other family and friends.
